Trinidad Construction Group is a full-service general contractor that is excited to serve Trinidad and surrounding Southwestern Colorado for all its construction needs. Whether working on residential remodels and construction, commercial development or historic preservation, our amazing team is dedicated to quality craftsmanship. We love our community and are committed to hiring local talent to not only revitalize these historic buildings, but to help stimulate the area’s economy. We have licensed master plumbers and electricians, as well as master carpenters and highly skilled welders on staff to bring you the best services to meet your needs!

Our History

Formed in Trinidad, CO, in 2019, Trinidad Construction Group started with two employees and today employs over 50 team members. We continually strive to maintain the same level of customer service, talent and quality as we expand our services through Trinidad and the surrounding areas. Initially our focus was restoring commercial properties in conjunction with Downtown Trinidad Development Group and other business owners. Recent renovation projects include historic buildings such as the former First National Bank, Marty Feeds, Danielson’s and an old Train Depot. These have been revitalized into business hubs including The Champions Building, home to a gift shop, a realtor office, a new Health & Wellness Center and more; a full food court Marketplace with 10 different vendors; a new Co-op and Coffee Shop; and a bike shop, pizza place and bar. All these local businesses opened in Trinidad within the past two years.

As we grow, we are expanding our residential capabilities. Utilizing our experienced team, we will provide the expert service you need to update your home.

Our Vision

Our staff relishes working on renovations and is fully able to manage projects from start to finish. Helping buildings that otherwise might be lost instead be restored into beautiful works of art is why we are committed to quality and precision. It also qualifies us to work on new developments and residential restorations and renovations as our team understands the challenges that can come with an older home project as well as the involved work and scrutiny new structures can undergo. While we review the project at large, we do not lose focus on the details that make each one special. Bringing or keeping buildings up to code while retaining or adding those unique touches that help your home or business come to life is what keeps Trinidad the creative and historical community that it is.

Karl Gabrielson

Managing Partner

As a Trinidad resident for 18 years, Karl is a valuable asset to our team. His background within the community working for the City of Trinidad as a city planner, as well as project manager for Cougar Canyon Development, allows him to understand the unique challenges facing this growing community. Karl has been in the real estate development business since the 1980s and has a personal passion for the city of Trinidad.

Master Electrician

My name is Eli Aragon and I am the master electrician for Trinidad Construction. I have lived in Colorado and the Trinidad area most of my life. I have worked in the building trades for 15 years and have been doing electrical for nearly ten years. I have been working with Trinidad Construction for two and a half years.
